We recently made two more full-carbon snare drum shells for Peter Robertson, who owns Hunter Custom Drums.

After assembling these two new drums, Peter is off this weekend to the Finn Brothers studio in Auckland. Hopefully the NZ musos will like them and Peter will get more orders.

When he called in, Peter was buzzing about the first carbon fibre drum that we infused for him. This prototype drum was featured at the Auckland Drum Fest where Russ Miller, one of the world’s best session drummers, played it.

Long story, short, Russ absolutely loved the drum. He took it home to Los Angeles and used it while recording movie scores and band sessions.
